The Locust & The Honey Bee

"Where there is no vision, the people perish..." Proverbs 29:18

Be fearless.

At 3 am, the Lord permitted me to see an aerial view of me asleep in my bed. Suddenly I perceived a plan hatched against me and then saw locusts about to attack my eyes. When the aerial view dissipated, I was charged to smash the locusts before they had a chance to hurt my eyes.

Quick take away

1) Locusts are known to destroy crops/agriculture (one’s present or pending cultivation e.g. Ex. 10:3; Joel 2:25-26) or in this sense one's ability to be industrious.

2) Our eyes are able to prophetically perceive or see ‘crops’. The Lord can cause us to look up and see His provision in a place or moment where said provision was not previously. The Lord can call those things that be not as though they were (Romans 4:17) AFTER obedience, of course. Examples: Hagar and the well in the desert (Gen. 21:14-21) and Abraham and the ram in the bush (Gen. 22:13-19).

3) The thief, who comes to only steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10) is after our faith, which extends to our prophetic vision. Remember, we are a people who walk by faith and not by natural sight. “Where there is no revelation or prophetic vision, people cast off restraint, but blessed are the ones who heed wisdom’s instructions." - Proverbs 29:18.

4) Lastly, may I provide one more caveat to provoke thought? If the enemy can cause us to see ourselves as grasshoppers, we will be timid to TAKE the land that has ALREADY been given to us.

Today, during the 4th watch, approximately 4 am, I was getting ready for work. I heard footsteps approaching. Fear gripped me. The fear was tangible. I looked out into the darkness... fully aware now. I went back to brushing my teeth. I heard the steps again. Holy Spirit empowered me to say, "I will not fear." Peace came, though I could still feel fear at my 'gate' or door.

On my way to work, I prayed Psalm 23 and 91. I kept wondering what THAT was and the meaning of it.

I've been praying about financial stewardship. I want to have upward of 8 ventures (Ecclesiastes 11:2). It's been tough unlearning bad habits. It's been tough with things happening, seemingly, out of the blue. But I'm learning obedience by the things I suffered and the seriousness of ventures.

When I returned home. Oddly and to my surprise, I came face to face to a single honey bee buzzing right before my eyes in front of my door (my gate). The obstacles, perseverance, praying, confessions, killing emotionalism, and having the courage to face the very thing I always feared - not having any or very little help or support. My hardships provided much needed experience though overwhelming (meditate on Psalm 142:3), but clearly needed and great for character building.

If you're still reading, hear this: Trust/Batach in The Lord. Batach/Hebrew = welding as in allow fiery trials to fuse you to The Lord. The economic climate calls for Josephs - ask the Lord to raise them up nationwide. Maybe you're not an entrepreneur but it'll be great to work for someone who fears God. Pray for wisdom for how to prepare. Learn how to pay yourself - multiple ventures. Address the locust that's trying to keep you from cultivating - generational, professional and personal. Go where God says, then ask the Lord to open your eyes to the well in the desert.

Be fearless.
